摘要
文言文是中国珍贵的文化遗产,其言简意赅,节奏有力。但外形松散,逻辑关系不明确,与英语的句法形成了鲜明的对比,也给英译造成了一定的障碍。本文通过分析文言文与英语句子结构的不同,简单概括了文言文中常见的一些固定句型的英译技巧,旨在用纯正的英文句法凸现原文的文化信息,以求在两种语言的差异与融会中寻求“环肥燕瘦”之芙。
As a record of Chinese culture, the passages written in classical Chinese style, which are concise and highly compact with strong sense of rhythm, deserve no less attention or interests. The syntactic differences lying in these two languages make C/E translation no easy job. This thesis analyzes the differences of syntax and summarizes several skills of translating certain patterns of classical Chinese writings, so as to truthfully convey the original information in more standard English syntax and to appreciate the beauty lying in the two though different languages.
