摘要
20世纪桐城派研究以其学术范型的转换和自身相对完整的阶段性为依据,可分为四个时期:世纪初前20年为承续期,三四十年代为进展期,新中国成立后至7O年代末为低落期,8O年代以来为复兴与繁荣期。20世纪的桐城派研究取得了世所公认的成就,但也存在着一些不足与缺憾,爬梳清理这一事实,对认识新世纪桐城派研究的新起点不无裨益。
Studies on the Tongcheng School (a group of scholars in the Qing Dynasty devoted to the study of classical Chinese prose) can be divided into four stages; an inheriting stage in the first two decades of the century; a developing stage in the 1930s and the 1940s; a declining stage from the 1950s to the 1970s; a flourishing stage since the 1980s. Achievement of the studies is brilliant, yet they still leave much to be desired. To straighten up the studies in the 20th century, therefore, will be beneficial to the further study of the school.
