摘要
甲午前清季驻英使节英国观形成的来源是多元的。使节们在国内就对英国有所认识和了解。至英国后,他们观其繁华之表象,思其富强之本源,理性的火花汇聚感性的认识最终形成了对英国政治、经济、教育等各方面的看法。但其认识受多种因素影响也存在着局限性。
The outlook on the UK of Chinese envoys to Britain prior to the Jia-wu Sino-Japanese war derived from many sources. They had already had some knowledge and understanding of Britain when they were at home. After their arrival in England, the prosperity presenting before their eyes compelled them to explore the source of wealth and strength of this country. Rational sparks and perceptional knowledge combined to form their view on British politics, economy and education. But their knowledge of the Britain had its limitations due to a variety of factors.
