《鸳鸯针》是一部针对明末社会腐败现象痛下针砭的拟话本小说,它通过具体的人物和故事,揭露了科场的腐败、官场的腐败、商界的腐败以及下层社会风气的败坏。作者开出的药方首先是在选拔人才方面不必迷信科举,让绿林中人也为国家效力;其次是要求官员正直廉明,宽厚仁恕,以德报怨,感化坏人;再次是提倡诚实守信,反对损人利己;提倡贞洁,反对纵欲。他对社会的揭露是有力的,但他开出的药方几乎是无用的。
Mandarin Duck Needle'is a minetic script for story-telling novel which bitterly prescribed medicine for the corrupt social. By the concrete figures and storys, it exposes the corruptions in the imperical examinations, the official circles, the business circles and the lower socia strate. The prescription that the writer made has three aspects:the first, Don't be blind faith in imperial examinations, the people not in office can serve his country also; the second, demand that officials must be honest, gererous and return good for evil and help evildoer to change; the third, advocate being credible and oppose harming others to benefit himself; advocate being loyal and oppose conniving one's sexual desire.
