摘要
蒋坚松教授英译《菜根谭》 ,既充分尊重原作 ,又有适度的译者介入 ,而介入也是为了更好地尊重原作。《菜根谭》这部人生格言 ,集儒、释、道三家思想为一体 ,深刻地反映了中国文化所强调的"虚心"的人生态度 ,而"虚心"也正是中国阐释学的根本。《菜根谭》的英译本不仅到位地表达了《菜根谭》的风貌 ,也体现了中国阐释学的精粹 ,同时也反映出西方客观阐释学与中国阐释学的契合。
With right understanding and exact expressing, Jiang Jiansong's English version of Cai Gen Tan (My Crude Philosophy) is as profound as the Chinese original. The great intelligence in Cai Gen Tan, i.e., to be modest, is therefore reflected in this hermeneutical rendering. In terms of hermeneutical translation theory, this version has two points to mention: its great respect for both the original meaning and style and its serious attitude towards 'translators′ involvement', for these show an objective hermeneutical attitude to the original.
