摘要
当今中国如火如荼进行的城市更新运动,与五十年前美国大城市的状况"如出一辙"。1961年,简·雅各布斯发表的《美国大城市的死与生》一书,无疑是对西方规划界大胆的质疑,掀起了一场规划界的"大地震",她宣言般地提出了城市的本质在于其多样性。面对当前中国"千城一面"的城市建设状况,如何创造城市的多样性,如何营造更多的城市活力空间,是我们亟须思考与探索的。
The cur ent movement of Urban renewal is similar to the condition of the big cities in the United States 50 years ago.In 1961,Jane Jacobs has published the book<The Death and Life of Great American Cities>which set of a firestorm in the western urban planning circles,andputforward the essence of the city in its diversity. In the face of the cur ent condition of the urban construction ,“Same Imagine of the Cities”,how to create the diversity of the city and to create more urban vitality space, we need to think and explore.
