摘要
ESP教学的实施,基于学生达到了大学英语的基本要求这一前提。四六级段落翻译的出现预示着大学英语教学由注重学生语言知识的掌握到更加关注语言知识的实际运用。文章分析了实施ESP教学的可能性和其前景,以期对今后的大学英语教学提出一些可行性建议。
ESP teaching can be implemented based on the condition that basic requirements for college English should be fully considered. The introduction of paragraph translation in CET-4 /6 implies the importance of actual usage of language rather than the language points themselves. The paper analyzes the possibility and prosperity of ESP teaching ,and its implicature for college English teaching in the future.
