摘要
对语篇以及语篇作者、语篇创造过程和规律的研究由来已久 ,已形成多种独立学科。话语分析作为现代语言学的一个分支 ,也把语篇作为重要的研究对象 ,只是方法上更为系统和科学 ,系统功能语法就是其中一种有效的分析工具。对单个语篇的分析一直是系统功能语法应用研究的传统 ,本文运用系统功能语法对葛底斯堡演说进行了详细分析 。
The multi perspective study of texts is one of the oldest academic activities, which has resulted in such independent disciplines as rhetoric, literary criticism, poetics and stylistics. As a branch of modern linguistics, discourse analysis also targets research efforts at texts and systemic and functional grammar proves a powerful tool of analysis in this respect. The analysis of a single text has been a tradition in the application of systemic and functional grammar. This paper conforms to this tradition by analyzing the Gettysburg Address and comes to the conclusion that it deserves the tribute that has been paid to it so far.
