Ni Huanzhi is one of the great achievements of new vernacular literature in May Fourth Movement particular period. The novel has a foothold somewhere in the disturbed society of the great time, and is focused on the problem of the emotion education about the youth after the May Fourth Movement,so that the novel possesses the huge meaning in the history of Chinese new vernacular literature. The hope and the desperation of Ni Huanzhi is the jointly experience of the young intellectual after the May Fourth Movement.
