摘要
Anita Brookner squarely denied that any feminist conclusion might be drawn from her novels, but her fiction"habitually analyzes sexual politics and explores the contradictions of marriage and romantic love in a way which many feminists would not find unsympathetic". This paper is to analyze Edith, the heroine of her masterpiece Hotel du Lac in the light of feminism,to prove Brookner's tendency to feminism and her achievements in exploring woman problems.
