摘要
文章探讨了语法系统中形态与句法的关系。通过对传统词库论的回顾,文章着重分析了一些在分析形态与句法关系中较具影响力的文献。文章指出,一些把形态构词归结为句法操作的研究其实是为了构词而对句法规则作出了一些修改后所产生的结果,与生成句法短语的句法规则具有重要的区别。因此,文章认为形态和句法是两个相对独立的语法模块,有各自的限制条件。
This paper mainly concentrates on the relationship between morphology and syntax in grammar.By first reviewing the traditional lexicalist hypothesis,this paper addresses several influential research concerning the interaction between morphology and syntax.It points out that some research reducing word formation to syntactic operation simply allow a modified specialized syntax for generating words,differing in crucial,principled ways from that needed for generating syntactic phrases.It is proposed that morphology and syntax are two independent modules,subject to restrictions of their own.
