This paper analyzes the relationship between the bird image and the development of the story plot, the change of the her?oine’s psychology and fate by summarizing the main plot of Jane Eyre, using the change of scene as a clue, and analyzing the sym?bolic meaning of the novel. Symbolism is an important writing skill in the novel. The bird image is closely related to the fate of Jane and the content of the novel, it becomes the clue and bond of the plot, indicates the fate of the heroine, and foreshadows the devel?opment of the plot.
