摘要 Other is an important concept in Lacan's psychology theory, which plays a critical role in a subject's identity formation. The formation of a subject's self-identity is based on other, initially its mother, the absence of the other will cause the subject's identity loss and the reconstruction on the new other. Therefore, this article analyzes the main subject Florens' identity loss and her identity reconstruction by applying Lacan's concept of other.
