摘要
该文采用基于语料库的研究方法,定性分析与定量分析相结合,现以confused和puzzeld这两个同义词为例,利用COCA语料库从不同语域的词频分布、搭配特征、句法结构等方面分析了语料库索引辨析区分英语近义词的有效方法。本研究对英语教学有一定的启示作用,尤其是以语料库为基础的英语同义词教学。
Adopting the corpus-based approach and combining of qualitative and quantitative method, this paper analyzes the concordance lines of two synonyms confused and puzzled in the Corpus of Contemporary American English (COCA), from the perspectives of word frequency distribution in different registers, collocation features and colligational structures, aiming to discov-er the differentiation of two synonyms, and to expose the effectiveness of corpus-based method of distinguishing synonyms. This corpus-based exploration of English synonyms may shed a new light upon the teaching practice in the future, especially in the ar-ea of teaching English synonyms.
