An Effective Way of Improving English Listening——Shadow Reading

摘要 作者根据所在院校的调查问卷发现影响学生听力水平提高的主要因素有词汇量、语音语调和口语水平。克服了这些困难因素,就可以有效地提高学生的听力水平。在其他学者研究成果的基础上提出跟读训练的方法,认为跟读训练可以增加学生的听力词汇量,帮助学生掌握词汇的发音和各种语音语调现象,提高他们的口语水平。最后,还对跟读训练的具体操作给出了相应的建议。 According to the questionnaire,the author finds that the major factors that make students have poor listening ability are listening vocabulary,pronunciation and tone,and spoken English level.If these major obstacles are taken over,students'listening ability can be greatly improved.On the basis of the achievements of previous scholars,the author proposes shadow reading as a solution,believing that shadow reading practice can help to improve vocabulary,pronunciation and tone and spoken English.At last,some suggestions are given so that shadow reading can be exercised in an appropriate way.
