摘要
学术界关于马王堆汉墓出土聂币的研究并不多见,虽有学者证其为冥币,但其丧葬用途尚可商榷。本文对聂币的形状及其用途进行重新审视,认为这种利用长条形布帛剪切成相连的碎片,或将已有的碎片用丝线、竹篾缀连的仿币帛形态,不同于泥质冥币仿金、铜质实用货币,既是自备或赙赠的随葬明器,也可能是丧葬过程中使用的祭奠之物,象征千匹币帛,与同墓所葬明器木犀角、木象牙、木璧、泥珠玑等相似,皆引申为财富的象征。
There are very few researches on funerary cloth money unearthed from the Han tombs at Mawangdui in the academic circle.Although some scholars have proved that it is mock money to be used by the deceased,its actual use in burial rituals still needs further speculation.This paper reexamines the shape and use of such funerary cloth money and proposes that the shape of oblong cloth or silk cut into joint bits and existing fragments of cloth or silk sewn together with silk or bamboo thread is different from fake gold and copper coins made of clay.It is likely a kind of burial object either prepared by the family members of the deceased or donated by others.It is also likely a sacrifi cial object used in the funerary process,symbolizing a thousand rolls of monetary silk.Just like such burial objects as wooden rhino horns,wooden elephant tusks,wooden jade plate and wooden pearls,it can be interpreted as a symbol of wealth.
