A new complex of L-arginine acid and glycine with zinc was synthesized and the molar dissolution enthalpy of the reactants and the product have been measured by classical solution calorimetry. The enthalpy of the coordination reaction was measured in 2 mol/L HCl at 298.2 K by a thermochemical cycle, and the standard molar enthalpy of formation of the complex has been calculated to be: Δ_fH θ_ m,[zn.Arg.Gly]SO_4.4H_2O(s)=-3261.40 kJ/mol.
