树型结构半导体光放大器光交换矩阵的可靠性(英文) 被引量:1

摘要 针对光交换系统的可靠性研究已卓有成效,但作为光交换系统的核心元件——光交换矩阵的可靠性却始终没有得到足够的重视.本文利用可靠性框图对基于半导体光放大器的树型结构光交换矩阵进行了可用性分析.分析结果表明该型光交换矩阵在可靠性上存在的不足,需要设计保护结构.通过对已有的光交换系统可靠性研究工作的分析总结,提出了两种针对树型结构光交换矩阵的保护结构,并利用可靠性框图和概率统计方法对其进行比较分析了两种结构的特点.研究表明,交换矩阵对于SOA的可靠性最为敏感.交换矩阵保护结构的设计过程,实际上是系统可靠性、成本、体积及性能的折衷.因其对成本和可靠性的影响,能否提供有效的检测和维护也应在保护结构的设计过程中予以考虑. While there have been many efforts in increasing the reliability of optical switch systems,relatively little work has be done in the reliability of optical switch matrix,even with its core role in optical switch systems.By using reliability block diagram,the availability of semiconductor optical amplifier-based switch matrix with tree structure was analyzed.The results reveal that with off-theshelf components,the SOA switch matrix may not have the necessary reliabiltiy that is normally required for telecommunication systems and there is a need for protection.Inspired by existing works in increasing the reliability of optical switch systems,two switch matrix protection architectures were proposed for the tree structure.The characteristics of the two protection architectures were investigated with reilability block diagram and statistical method.The results show that the matrix availability is more sensitive to the reliability of the SOAs than the others.Designing protection for the matrix can be generally considered as a trade-off among system reliability,cost,size and performance.Effective monitoring and maintenance should also be taken into account in protection design,since it has great impact on the cost and reliability of the protection.
