摘要
西部大开发战略的提出为西部地区社会经济文化的发展提供了良好的机遇。要实现西部大开发战略 ,既要有政策、资金的支持 ,还要有科学、信息的支持。作为社会文化教育机构、“信息储存和检索系统的核心”的图书馆 ,在西部大开发中可提供智力支持和信息支持 ,因而它在西部大开发中具有不可忽视的作用。本文阐述了图书馆在西部大开发中的地位 。
The Development of Western Regions in China offers a good opportunity for the development of society , economy and culture in western areas. It needs not only guarantee of policy and finance, but also guarentee of science and information to complete the Development of Western Regions in China. The library ,which is regarded as an institution of socio-cultural edcation and the core of information store and deta retrieval system, takes a position not to be ignored because it can offer intelligence and information support .The paper expounds the concrete way of the role played by library and countermeasures of library building in the course of the Development of Western Regions in China.
