摘要
交通基础设施建设影响企业高质量发展和地区经济增长的一个重要渠道是促进企业产品质量升级和竞争力提升。结合产品产量数据库和工业企业数据库,采用双重差分法和空间杜宾模型,探讨了交通基础设施建设对企业产品质量升级的影响机制。实证结果表明,交通基础设施建设促进了企业产品质量升级,在经过一系列内生性检验和稳健性分析后结论依然成立。作用机制分析表明,交通基础设施建设会影响技术提升和成本变动,从而实现生产率提升、技术创新、要素流动和产业结构调整,并促使企业产品质量升级和竞争力提升。交通基础设施建设对企业产品质量升级的影响在中小城市更加明显,这主要是交通基础设施建设产生的知识、技术和人才等空间外溢效应导致的,但并不包含产业转移效应。研究结果为交通基础设施建设影响企业经济行为提供了新的解释,对促进交通基础设施建设提升企业竞争力具有重要政策意义。
Promoting the upgrading of enterprise product quality and competitiveness is an important channel for transport infrastructure construction to affect the high-quality development of enterprises and regional economic growth.Based on a product yield database and an industrial enterprise database,this paper applies the double difference method and spatial Durbin model to explore the impacts of transport infrastructure construction on the upgrading of enterprise product quality.Empirical results indicate that the transport infrastructure construction promotes the upgrading of enterprise product quality.This conclusion still holds true after a series of endogenous tests and robustness analyses.A mechanism analysis reveals that the transport infrastructure construction affects the technological upgrading and cost changes.This helps achieve productivity improvement,technological innovation,factor flow and industrial structure adjustment,and promotes the upgrading of product quality and enterprise competitiveness.Impacts of transport infrastructure construction on the upgrading of enterprise product quality is more obvious in medium and small-sized cities.This is mainly due to the space spillover effects of knowledge,technology and talents generated by transport infrastructure construction,with the effects of industrial transfer being excluded.With a new explanation for the impacts of transport infrastructure construction on enterprise behavior,this paper offers important policy implications for the promotion of transport infrastructure construction to enterprise competitiveness.
