摘要
基于2014—2021年19家上市银行的面板数据,研究金融科技对商业银行就业的影响及其作用渠道。结果表明:金融科技发展对银行就业数量有负向影响,而对银行就业技能结构和就业质量的影响均为正。异质性分析表明,金融科技发展对商业银行就业的影响在国有属性、资产规模较大和有金融科技子公司的上市银行样本中更为显著。机制分析发现,银行金融科技的应用通过提高成本效率进而降低了对线下网点劳动力的需求,以实现减员增效;同时,通过技术型资本要素配置优化其就业技能结构,以及通过提高收入效率提升其就业质量,以缓解减员的风险,发挥精兵简政的就业促进作用。
Based on the panel data of 19 listed banks from 2014 to 2021,this paper studies the impact of FinTech on the employment of commercial banks and its mechanism.The results show that the development of FinTech has a negative impact on the number of bank employment,while it has a positive impact on the skill structure and quality of bank employment.Heterogeneity analysis shows that the impact of FinTech development on the employment of commercial banks is more significant in the samples of listed banks with state ownership,large asset scale and FinTech subsidiaries.Mechanism analysis shows that the application of FinTech reduces the demand for labor by improving cost efficient,in order to achieve staff reduction and efficiency increase.At the same time,FinTech optimizes the skill structure of employment through the allocation of technological capital factors,and improves quality of employment by improving income efficiency,so as to alleviate the risk of downsizing and play the employment promotion role of streamlining the administration.
