The first eight months of2024 saw continuous growth of China's trade in goods,with total import and export value reaching28.58 trillion yuan(US$4.01 trillion) and a trade surplus up by 13.6 percent.The main reasons were sustained expansion of global demand,continued optimization of China's foreign trade structure,and the country's vibrant trade withemerging markets such as ASEAN member states and countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.
