Although the Chinese women writers as a group that appeared in the American world of letters in the 1990s use English as their creative medium, they all used their Chinese families as the writing object. The narrator under the pen of the new generation of writers is often a female member of a Chinese family who appears in the first person narrative or as a she or we,with features of vividly descriptive female voice. That way,the Chinese women's thoughts on the fortune of the Chinese family and the cultural relationship between the East and the West can be represented.Fully based on the categories of time and society, this paper seeks to regard Lan Samantha Chang,May-Lee Chai,Catherine Liu and Mei Ng as the representatives and,by borrowing theories on narrative voice from people like Susan S.Lanser, analyzes the writer's voice, the individual's voice and the collective voice in the family writing of the English fiction by the new generation of Chinese American women writers.
