Evodia rutaecarpa,which encompasses alkaloids,quassinoids,volatile oils,flavonoids,phenolic acids,and their various derivatives were discussed.These diverse chemical constituents each exhibit unique pharmacological properties,synergistically contributing to Evodia's notable anti-inflammatory,anti-photoaging,metalloproteinase inhibitory,broad-spectrum antimicrobial,and potent antioxidant effects.Given its positive impacts across multiple biological pathways,this review delves into the potential application value and broad prospects of Evodia rutaecarpa in the cosmetics industry.
