With the rapid development of globalization and food industry,food safety has become the focus of global attention.As an important means to ensure food safety,food inspection plays a vital role in ensuring food quality,preventing food safety accidents and safeguarding consumers'health rights and interests.This paper introduces the basic methods of food detection,including chemical analysis,biological detection technology and modern rapid detection technology,and the application of food testing in the field of food safety,as well as the importance of food testing to food safety,including enhancing consumer confidence and satisfaction,assisting food regulatory law enforcement,promoting the healthy development of the food industry,and promoting the updating of food safety standards.
