摘要
疫苗佐剂(vaccine adjuvant)是一类添加在疫苗中增强疫苗效力、提高机体保护能力、降低疫苗生产成本以及维持疫苗稳定性的物质,佐剂的功效是影响疫苗性能的重要因素。严重急性呼吸综合征冠状病毒(severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus, SARS-CoV)、SARS-CoV-2和中东呼吸系统综合征冠状病毒(Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus, MERS-CoV)均属于β冠状病毒属,它们的传染力极强,被称为人高致病性冠状病毒(human highly pathogenic coronavirus),在不同时期引发了全球范围内的疫情。冠状病毒属的其他类型或现有病毒变异株有可能会再次侵袭并威胁人类的生命健康,突破佐剂开发瓶颈,研发安全、有效且具有广谱保护作用的人高致病性冠状病毒疫苗仍是抵抗病毒和防控疫情最有效的手段。现就3种人高致病性冠状病毒疫苗用佐剂的相关研究及应用情况作一概述。
Adjuvants are a kind of substances added to vaccines that can enhance vaccine efficacy,improve the body's protective ability,reduce vaccine production costs,and maintain vaccine stability.The efficacy of adjuvant is an important factor affecting the performance of vaccines.Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus(SARS-CoV),SARS-CoV-2,and Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus(MERS-CoV),all belong to the β coronavirus genus,are also known as human highly pathogenic coronaviruses due to their extremely strong infectivity,which have caused global epidemics in different periods.So there is a potential that emerging variants or other types of coronaviruses in this genus may invade and threaten human life and health again.This underscores the importance of breaking through the"bottleneck"for adjuvant development,which can contribute to develop safe,effective,and broadly protective vaccines to fight against human highly pathogenic coronaviruses.This article summarizes the research and application of three kinds of adjuvants for human highly pathogenic coronavirusvaccines.
