摘要
如何应对气候风险加剧背景下的极端天气现象冲击是当前及未来我国经济面临的一个重要问题。为更全面理解极端天气现象的经济后果,本文借助最新的地理信息数据,研究暴雨冲击与城市经济增长之间的关系。实证结果表明,暴雨冲击会显著降低城市经济增长率,在经过一系列稳健性检验后,此结论依旧成立。机制分析表明,暴雨冲击不仅会造成显著的直接经济损害,还会降低微观经济主体的经济活跃度,从而引致城市经济增长率降低。进一步分析表明,通过完善城市公共服务和营造城市宜居环境推动城市内涵式发展,有助于减轻暴雨冲击对经济增长的负面影响和增强城市应对气候风险的能力。本文研究为我国城市内涵式发展转型提供了经验证据。
How to cope with the impact of extreme weather events in the context of exacerbated climate risks is an important issue facing China's economy currently and in the future.In order to understand the economic consequences of extreme weather more comprehensively,this paper studies the relationship between rainstorm shock and urban economic growth with the help of the latest geographic information data.The empirical results show that the impact of rainstorm will significantly reduce the urban economic growth rate.After a series of robustness tests,this conclusion is still valid.The mechanism analysis shows that rainstorm shock will not only cause significant direct economic loss,but also reduce the economic activity of microeconomic entities,resulting in a decrease in urban economic growth rate.Further analysis shows that by improving urban public services and creating a livable environment to promote urban conformal development,it is helpful to alleviate the negative impact of rainstorms on economic growth and enhance the city's ability to cope with climate risks.This study provides empirical evidence for the transformation of China's urban intensive development.
