摘要
自九所“韩国新儒家书院”作为系列遗产于2019年刻录于《联合国教科文组织世界遗产名录》以来,国内学界在植根于中国书院的“韩国新儒家书院”的历史发展叙事研究、东亚教育圈中的“韩国新儒家书院”教育制度文化审视、基于“韩国新儒家书院”的性理学文脉梳理以及“韩国新儒家书院”的建筑风格考察等方面,取得了一些有益的研究成果,但对其之所以具有“突出的普遍价值”这一问题则未能予以深究。有鉴于此,本文围绕“突出的普遍价值”这一核心概念,基于“韩国新儒家书院”系列文化遗产申报、评估与决议文本的分析,从六个方面聚焦韩国书院所呈现的“士林”现象,揭示士林乃是“韩国新儒家书院”“突出的普遍价值”之灵魂所在。
Since the inscription of the nine Korean Neo-Confucian Academies as serial property on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2019,the domestic academic community has witnessed a worthy research output in areas such as narrative histories of the property sourced in China,its significance in the East Asian educational circle,the Neo-Confucian traditions it sponsored,and the proto-architectural styles it manifested.But just what accounts in essence for its“Outstanding Universal Value”remains little addressed.It is against this background that the present paper sets itself to the declared task of uncovering specifically what justifies the property’s claim of“Outstanding Universal Value”.By focusing on the sarim phenomenon as is explicated in the texts of World Cultural Heritage application,evaluation and resolution,the paper reaches,upon a six-dimensional analysis,the conclusion that the sarim as a group hold the key to the secret of the property’s“Outstanding Universal Value”.
