Digital transformation is not only an important development trend in contemporary society, but also a manifestation of various educational institutions responding to social needs. In the post-pandemic era, community colleges in the United States face challenges such as declining enrollment, questioning of teaching quality and financial constraints. In response, they proactively develop and apply digital technologies with the assistance of government, universities, and organizations to advance their digital transformation. The implementation pathway of digital transformation in community colleges mainly involves integrating digital literacy into educational objectives, developing digital courses to change teaching methods, involving digital companies in teaching practices, and using digital certificates to recognize learning outcomes.Throughout the process of digital transformation, community colleges in the United States persist in serving the community, emphasizing the needs of disadvantaged students, and supporting lifelong learning. In the future, relevant institutions in China can refer to the experiences of digital transformation in community colleges, actively develop and apply digital technologies, focus on cultivating digital skills talents, improve digital certification system, promote the digital transformation of colleges and universities,so as to facilitate the development of a learning and skill-based society.
