摘要
徐悲鸿将美术看作在造物形态方面追求“真理”的学问,认为须以“诚笃”的道德态度,“致广大,尽精微”的追求来写实,否则即是“不爱真理”和“道德败坏”。徐悲鸿多次引用朱熹《四书章句集注》来诠释以上这种科学主义态度,即是程朱理学式格致思维的体现。徐悲鸿将美术上追求“科学的写实”的行为视为“新天道”,其主张“写实”为体“写意”为用的艺术观,也源自程朱理学式的思考。
Xu Beihong regarded art as the pursuit of“truth”in the modeling ability,and believed that it was necessary to pursue realism with a“sincere”moral attitude and a“broad and subtle”pursuit,otherwise it would be“not loving truth”and“morally corrupt”.Xu Beihong has repeatedly cited Zhu Xi’s Annotations on the Four Books’Chapters and Sentences to explain the above scientism attitude,which is actually a manifestation of Cheng Zhu’s Neo-Confucianist style of thinking.Xu Beihong regarded the pursuit of“scientific realism”in art as a“new way of natural law”,and his artistic view of advocating“realistic drawing”as the noumenon and“freehand brush drawing”as the function also originated from Cheng Zhu’s Neo-Confucianist thinking.
