摘要
在皖南事变善后阶段,随着美国政府态度的逐渐明晰,中共认为加强对美国的宣传工作是给予国民党方面压力的重要方式。为了打破国民党对新闻的压制封锁,国际新闻社中国香港分社与跨国记者群体成为中共沟通内外的新闻中转站,及时向美国新闻界传递信息。中共对太平洋国际学会、中国人民之友社、保卫中国同盟与纽约华侨衣馆联合会等国际民间组织及美国华侨团体开展统战工作,增强中共的国际舆论影响力。一方面,事变后中共在重庆、中国香港与美国三地集中开展的对美宣传工作使中共坚持抗战、反对分裂的形象在美国政府和民众的视野中得以强化;另一方面,中共认识到在外交上,尤其在对英美外交上“大有活动余地”。
In the aftermath of the Wannan Incident,with the US government's attitude becoming gradually clear,the CCP started to realize that to reinforce the propagandist efforts towards the US could be strong pressure against the KMT.In order to break through the blockade on news imposed the KMT,Inter-national News Press's Hong Kong branch as well as a cohort of transnational corre-spondents had become the transmitter for the CCP to communicate with the outside world,passing news to the US journalist community in time.Also,the CCP's United Front work towards international organizations like the Pacific Institute,Society of Chinese People's Friends,To Defend the China Alliance,Federation of Oversea Chinese Laundry Shop's New York branch effectively expanded the CCP's influences in the international community.In the wake of the incident,not only did the CCP's propaganda towards the US in Chongqing,Hong Kong,and the US local consolidate its image of resolutely fighting against the Japanese in-vaders before American government and its people,but it also make the CCP to realize that there are still an abundant of work could be done in forging a good re-lation with western powers like UK and the US.
