摘要
作为似乎更能适应数字社会的老年人群体,银发冲浪族在从接入互联网到融入数字社会的过程中是否仍然存在着不平等,是一个值得在数字社会化语境中进一步探讨的问题。文章通过对银发冲浪族日常数字实践的质化研究发现,这一群体在数字媒介接入环节中的不平等隐患来自其在基础设施占有、行为动机催化、知识体系建构三个关键节点的后发劣势;而在银发冲浪族融入数字社会的日常实践中,不平等体现为数字菜单筛选、社会角色想象、关系网络建构三个层面存在的矛盾与悖论。由此可见,老年人的数字社会化具有日常实践中的必要性、实现程度上的基础性、信息环境内的强制性,属于一种刚需性融入。而在这种刚需性背后,则折射出数字社会中老年群体正在遭遇的隐性不平等与歧视。
As a group of elderly people who seem to be more adaptable to the digital society,it is worth further exploring whether there is still inequality among silver-haired surfers on the path from accessing the Internet to integrating into the digital society in the context of digital socialization.Through qualitative research on the daily digital practices of silver-haired Internet surfers,this article finds that the hidden inequality in the digital media access process comes from their latecomer disadvantage in three key nodes:infrastructure ownership,behavioral motivation catalysis,and knowledge system construction.In the daily practice of integrating into the digital society among silver-haired surfers,inequality is reflected in the contradictions and paradoxes that exist at three levels:digital menu selection,social role imagination,and relationship network construction.Therefore,it can be considered that the digital socialization of elderly people,belonging to a kind of rigid integration,is necessary in daily practice,basic in the degree of implementation,and mandatory in the information environment.This kind of compulsory needs can be a reflection of the hidden inequality and discrimination that the elderly population is facing in the digital society.
