This article aims to explore how to use modern information technology to improve the quality of physical education teaching in universities.By analyzing the current situation of physical education teaching in universities,it is recognized that modern information technology has great potential in improving teaching quality.Therefore,this article explores in detail the application of modern information technology in physical education teaching in universities,including virtual reality technology,intelligent teaching aids.as well as online learning platforms and resources.At the same time,the article proposes a series of strategies and methods,such as teacher training and professional development,curriculum design and teaching model innovation,student participation and incentive mechanisms.and resource integration and sharing,helping universities improve the quality of physical education teaching.ln addition,the article also demonstrates the application effect of modern information technology in physical education teaching in universities through case analysis.Finally.the article discusses the challenges faced by the application of modern information technology and proposes corresponding countermeasures.The conclusion of the article can provide useful references for the improvement and development of physical education teaching in universities.
