摘要
五四时期,新文学对封建家庭的纲常伦理持一种激烈的否定态度,而“出走家庭”的娜拉也成为了风尚一时的文学典型。这种“个人主义”的反抗由于缺乏动摇社会制度的力量,很快就陷入了僵局。在新的历史条件下,家庭与个人的矛盾让位于家庭与抗战的矛盾,因此延安时期的小说创作需要重新肯定家庭的作用:“救亡”的叙事将对家庭的反抗与国家的前途和命运联系在一起,“出走家庭”必须与“保卫国家”结合起来。在这套话语框架中,不再受到压迫的个体却仍然在家庭和抗战的之间顾此失彼。因此,延安时期的小说创作不但需要超越五四式反抗的盲目和任性,同时需要对新的裂隙进行弥合。
During the May Fourth period,the new literature vehemently rejected the traditional ethics of feudal families,and Nora,who“left the family”,became a literary archetype in vogue.This“individualistic”resistance,lacking the power to shake the social system,quickly fell into a stalemate.Under new historical conditions,the conflict between family and individual gave way to the conflict between family and the resistance against the Japanese invasion.Therefore,novelists during the Yan’an period needed to reaffirm the role of families:the narrative of“saving the nation”intertwined the resistance of the family with the future and destiny of the nation.The act of“leaving the family”had to be combined with“defending the country”.Within this discourse framework,individuals who were no longer oppressed still found themselves torn between families and the resistance against the Japanese invasion.Hence,novelists during the Yan’an period not only needed to surpass the blind and arbitrary nature of the May Fourth style of rebellion but also had to bridge the gaps created by new circumstances.
