摘要
20世纪80年代初期,继乡土美术与伤痕美术之后,西南当代艺术形成了具有表现主义特质的“生命流”创作倾向,以一种非理性的个体化的艺术表现偏离和批判了当时的主流艺术和价值。20世纪90年代以来,在相继兴起的政治波普、新生代、卡通与图像转向等艺术潮流中,西南当代艺术突破1980年代地域性的局限而构成中国当代艺术中最有活力的景观。2008年以后,相对落后与边缘的社会经济文化状况,使西南地区艺术家不断出走以寻求发展空间,社会的开放加剧了艺术人才的流动与流失,西南当代艺术作为一个艺术概念更多是一种基于历史延续性的表述而不是基于当下在地性的所指。近年来大量乡村艺术活动与项目的举行形成了新的艺术动向,当代艺术的再乡土化可能成为西南当代艺术的新趋势。
Contemporary art in Southwest China developed a creative tendency of"flow of life"featured with expressionism in the early 1980s,following rural art and trauma art with a criticism and deviation from the mainstream art and values at that time through an irrational and individualized artistic expression,Then,it has broken through regional limitations of the 1980s and become the most dynamic landscape in Chinese contemporary art amidst the emerging art trends of Political Pop,new generation,cartoon and pictorial turns since the 1990s.After 2008,contemporary art in Southwest China,as an art concept,is more like an expression based on historical continuity rather than the signified term based on current locality,as the artists in the Southwest region constantly emigrate to other places for more promising development prospects due to the relatively underdeveloped and marginalized socio-economic and cultural conditions and the social mobility that has intensified the flow and loss of artistic talents.In recent years,a large number of rural art activities and projects have emerged as new artistic trends,and the return to the rural art in contemporary art may become a new trend in contemporary art in Southwest China.
