摘要
中国工程地质学始终紧密结合国家战略需求尤其是工程建设中的科学技术问题,经历了初期缓慢发展到逐步成熟的过程。本文根据中国工程地质领域自1987年申请国家自然科学基金至2021年期间获资助项目,系统分析了35 a来我国工程地质学研究方向和研究内容的演进。研究发现,工程地质学的发展经历了从地质现象表征到地质规律总结,再到机制探索等阶段,呈现出国家战略的主导性、灾难性事件的驱动性、研究趋精细化和复杂化、学科发展的阶段性,以及受资助单位的集中性等特点。未来中国工程地质学发展,应基于地球系统科学理念,推动工程地质学研究思维方式和研究范式的改变;打破学科间壁垒,加强工程地质学与其他学科的交叉融通,丰富并深化工程地质学的发展,使得工程地质学向着更科学、更具有多学科融合特点的方向发展,并催生新的科学生长点;抓住数据革命契机,开辟工程地质学研究新途径;始终结合国家重大战略需求,加强青藏高原及其周缘重大工程地质问题研究,推出新理论,解决新问题。
The field of Chinese engineering geology has been closely aligned with national strategic needs,particularly addressing science and technology challenges in engineering construction.The discipline has undergone stages of initiation,maturity,differentiation,and the emergence of new sub-disciplines.This paper systematically analyzes the evolution of research directions and content in engineering geology over the past 35 years,focusing on projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China in the field of engineering geology from 1987 to 2021.The analysis reveals that the development of engineering geology has progressed from characterizing geological phenomena to summarizing geological laws and further exploring underlying mechanisms.Several characteristics define this development:the influence of national strategy,the impetus provided by catastrophic events,a trend towards more refined and complex research,distinct stages of discipline development,and concentration of funded units.The future of engineering geology should embrace the concept of earth system science,fostering a shift in thinking modes and research paradigms.Breaking down disciplinary barriers and enhancing cross-integration with other disciplines will enrich and deepen the field of engineering geology,propelling it towards a more scientific and multidisciplinary direction.This evolution may give rise to new scientific focal points and interdisciplinary sub-disciplines.Capitalizing on the opportunities presented by the data revolution,engineering geology should chart a new research path.It is crucial to address major strategic needs by strengthening research in the new tectonic topographic abrupt change zone,proposing new theories,and solving emerging problems.
