Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)is one of the most common chronic lung diseases.Osteoporosis(OP)is one of the most common complications of COPD.In recent years, the relationship between gut mi-crobiota(GM)and human health has been studied more and more deeply, and the occurrence and development of GM combined with COPD and osteoporosis has also attracted wide attention.According to the fifth national population cen-sus in 2000,our country entered the aging stage. The elderly population is the main morbidity group of COPD combined with osteoporosis, and its proportion is increasing.Exploring the optimal treatment plan of COPD combined with osteo-porosis has become the focus of clinical and scientific researchers.The"lung-intestine"axis theory based on"Exterior-in-terior Relationship between the Lung and the Large Intestine"has become a new research hotspot.Based on the"lung-gut"axis theory and the physiological and pathological characteristics of COPD complicated with osteoporosis, this paper discusses the importance of regulating intestinal flora in the intervention of such diseases, aiming to explore new prevention and treatment ideas for patients with COPD complicated with osteoporosis and provide theoretical sup-port for further clinical research and promotion.
