摘要
目的:研究层状过渡金属插层材料FeTa_(4)S_(8)单晶的临界行为,探究其插入过渡金属元素后的物理性质。方法:采用化学气相输运法制备了FeTa_(4)S_(8)单晶样品,用X射线衍射仪验证了样品的物相结构,通过EDXS测试确定了样品的组分并研究了样品的电输运性质和磁性;通过磁性测量数据研究了样品的临界行为。结果:X射线衍射确定了样品的六边形结构,EDXS测试结果显示样品组分比例为1∶4∶8;电输运性质表明在居里温度以下具有良好的金属性;磁性研究表明样品具有铁磁性,在122.6 K发生磁性相变。结论:铁磁单晶样品FeTa_(4)S_(8)的临界行为符合平均场理论模型,临界指数β=0.51、γ=1.06;在居里温度T_(C)=122.6 K处发生顺磁到铁磁的相变。
Aims:This paper aims to study the critical behavior of layered transition metal intercalation material FeTa_(4)S_(8) single crystal and explore its physical properties.Methods:FeTa_(4)S_(8) single crystal samples were prepared using the chemical vapor transport method.The phase structure of the sample was verified using X-ray diffraction.The composition of the sample was determined by EDXS.The electrical transport properties and magnetism of the sample were studied.The critical behavior of the sample was studied by the magnetic measurement data.The hexagonal structure of the sample was determined by X-ray diffraction.Results:EDXS results showed that the proportion of sample components was 1∶4∶8.The electrical transport properties indicated the metallicity below the Curie temperature.Magnetic studies showed that the sample exhibited ferromagnetism and underwent a magnetic phase transition at 122.6 K.Conclusions:The critical behavior of ferromagnetic single crystal FeTa_(4)S_(8) conforms to the mean field theoretical model;and the Critical exponentβ=0.51γ=1.06.The paramagnetic to ferromagnetic phase transition occurs at Curie temperature T_(C)=122.6 K.
