摘要
罗新璋先生对文学翻译提出三点看法:“外译中,非外译‘外’;文学翻译,非文字翻译;精确,非精彩之谓。”学界称之为“译事三非”。就理论与实践,以及读者的阅读习惯而言,文学翻译必须译为地道的目的语,必须译出原文的美和文学性,更要在精确译出原文意思的同时,译出原文之精彩。“三非”说以凝练的文字概括了文学翻译的基本要求、本质内涵和艺术追求,丰富了我国的文学翻译理论,对文学译者的翻译行为有着规范、警策和鼓舞价值,对当今的文学翻译实践具有借鉴和启发作用。
Mr.Luo Xinzhang proposes three viewpoints in literary translation:“translating foreign works into Chinese is not into the‘foreign’language,literary translation is not literal one and accuracy is not brilliance.”This is called“Three Cautions in Translation”in academia.As for the theory,practice,and readers' reading habits,the literary works must be translated with the authentic target language,and the versions must remain the original texts' beauty,literariness and splendor while accurately translating the meanings.The theory of“Three Cautions”summarizes the basic requirements,essential connotations,and artistic pursuit of literary translation with concise words,enriches the theory of literary translation in China,is of normative,warning and inspiring value to the translation behavior of literary translators,and has the function of reference and inspiration to today's literary translation practice.
