In the digital economic era, the interaction and fusion of virtual agglomeration and geographical agglomeration have a huge impact on the spatial structure of urban clusters. The essay establishes a theoretical framework of dual agglomerations influencing urban clusters' spatial structural development, and conducts an empirical analysis based on multiple sources of urban data illustrating 10 urban clusters in China, from 2003 to 2019,including coupling degree, spatial multiple-center index and networked features. The theoretical framework shows that the interaction and fusion of virtual and geographical agglomerations affect individual's locational choices first, then alter the spatial distribution on the macro-level, meanwhile, dual agglomerations promote the multiple-center developing trend of urban clusters through enhancing their internal connections.Empirical results show that double agglomerations have greatly promoted the multiple-center degree and balanced development of urban clusters.Specifically, dual agglomerations promote the network features of the spatial distribution of urban clusters through increasing node attributes of individual cities, facilitating cross-regional collaboration and accelerating intercity connections. These results provide suggestions and references for the spatial optimizing development of Chinese urban clusters in the digital economic era.
