Objective:To observe the effects of carboxymesteine combined with indacatrolonium bromide on blood gas indexes and dyspnea in elderly patients with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(AECOPD).How:A total of 80 elderly patients with AECOPD admitted to our hospital from March 2022 to March 2023 were retrospectively collected and divided into control group(n=40,indacatrolonium bromide treatment)and study group(n=40,carboxymesteine combined with indacatrolonium bromide treatment)according to different treatment methods.Blood gas analysis index, dyspnea degree, clinical efficacy and occurrence of adverse reactions were observed. Results:After 3 days and 7 days of treatment,PaO_(2) level was gradually increased and PaCO_(2) level was gradually decreased in two groups. The changes of PaO_(2) and PaCO_(2) in the study group were better than those in the control group(P<0.05).The dyspnea degree of the two groups decreased gradually, and the study group was significantly lower than the control group(P<0.05).The total effective treatment rate of the study group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions was similar between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Carbosteine combined with indacatrolonium bromide has obvious efficacy in elderly patients with AECOPD,can adjust the blood gas index of patients, reduce the degree of dyspnea of patients, and has high safety.
