Objective To investigate the clinical effectiveness and safety of endodontic patients treated with multiple root canals and one-time root canals. Methods A total of 80 patients with endodontic disease admitted to the Department of Stomatology of the Second People′s Hospital of Qidong City,Jiangsu Province from January 2019 to March 2023 were selected as the study samples. The results were sorted according to the time of admission.No.1-40 was the control group and repeated root canal treatment was performed;No.41-80 was the observation group and one-time root canal treatment was performed. The effective rate of treatment, the occurrence of symptoms and the degree of tooth pain were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of observation group was higher than that of control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of complications in observation group(2.50%)was lower than that in control group(17.50%),and the difference was statistically significant(χ^(2)=5.000,P<0.05).After treatment, the dental pain degree score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with multiple root canal treatment,one-time root canal treatment for endodontic patients has higher effectiveness, fewer complications, less tooth pain, and better prospects for clinical application.
