摘要
投资开放相关的条款是区域贸易协定的重要组成部分,但现有关于贸易协定条款深度对企业对外直接投资(以下简称为OFDI)影响的分析还有进一步拓展的空间。文章基于FTA条款异质性理论和既有研究基础构建了“WTO-plus”条款深度、“WTO-extra”条款深度、核心条款深度、边界条款深度和边界后条款深度,并引入单国模型考察了FTA条款深度对中国企业OFDI成效的影响。研究发现,FTA条款深度与中国企业的OFDI成效水平之间存在明显的正相关关系,其中边界后条款深度和“WTO-extra”条款深度的积极效用要明显强于边界及“WTO-plus”条款深度。进一步的研究发现,FTA条款深度通过改善东道国营商环境进而提升投资成效水平,同时FTA条款深度对国有企业的OFDI和非绿地投资具有正向作用。
The clauses related to investment opening are the essential part of regional trade agreements,but there is stil room for further expansion in the existing analysis of the impact of the depth of the clauses in trade agreements on outward foreign direct investment(OFDI)of the enterprises.Based on the heterogeneity theory of FTA clauses and the existing research foundations,this paper constructs the depth of"WTO-plus"clauses,the depth of"WTO-extra"clauses,the depth of core clauses,the depth of boundary clauses and the depth of post-boundary clauses,and introduces a single-country model to investigate the impact of the depth of FTA clauses on the effectiveness of OFDI of China's enterprises.The research reveals that the depth of FTA clauses has a significant positive correlation with the effectiveness of OFDI of China's enterprises,and the positive effects of the depth of post-boundary clauses and the depth of"WTO-extra"clauses are significantly stronger than those of the depth of boundary clauses and the depth of"WTO-plus"clauses.Further research shows that the depth of FTA clauses enhances the investment effectiveness by improving the business environment of the host country and the depth of FTA clauses exerts positive effect on OFDI and non-greenfield investment of the state-owned enterprises.
