摘要
磁铁纳米颗粒(Fe_(3)O_(4)NP)已广泛用于废水处理,但Fe_(3)O_(4)NP易于聚集沉降,这一特性对于其吸附性能的影响仍然不明确。因此,研究了Fe_(3)O_(4)NP对Cr(Ⅲ)和Cr(Ⅵ)的吸附作用,并分析了Fe_(3)O_(4)NP聚集作用对吸附效果的影响。结果表明:Cr(Ⅲ)溶液中Fe_(3)O_(4)NP聚集颗粒的粒径达到400 nm后不再增大,不易于沉降;通过扩展的DLVO(EDLVO)理论对颗粒间势能进行了计算,发现Cr(Ⅲ)消除了Fe_(3)O_(4)NP颗粒间的磁性作用力;吸附作用研究表明,Fe_(3)O_(4)NP对Cr(Ⅲ)的饱和吸附量远高于Cr(Ⅵ);为分析聚集作用对Fe_(3)O_(4)NP吸附性能的影响,测试了超声分散后Fe_(3)O_(4)NP对Cr(Ⅵ)的饱和吸附量,发现Fe_(3)O_(4)NP的聚集作用没有显著影响其对Cr(Ⅵ)的吸附。研究结果将为纳米材料的环境工程应用提供重要的参考依据。
Magnetite nanoparticles(Fe_(3)O_(4)NP)have been widely used in the treatment of wastewater,however the impact of the aggregation of Fe_(3)O_(4)NP on its adsorption capacity of heavy metals are still unclear.The adsorption of Cr(Ⅲ)and Cr(Ⅵ)by Fe_(3)O_(4)NPwas studied,and the influences of Fe_(3)O_(4)NP aggregation on the adsorption was analyzed.The results showed that Fe_(3)O_(4)NPexhibited fine colloidal stability in the solutions of Cr(Ⅲ)with maximum particle size of 400 nm.To elucidate the phenomenon,the net interparticle interaction energy was calculated by the EDLVO theory.It was found that the magnetic force of Fe_(3)O_(4)NP disappeared due to Cr(Ⅲ),so Fe_(3)O_(4)NP was no longer easy to aggregate.The adsorption study showed that the adsorption capacity of Cr(Ⅲ)by Fe_(3)O_(4)NP was much higher than that of Cr(Ⅵ).In order to analyze the influences of Fe_(3)O_(4)NP aggregation,the satured adsorption capacity of Cr(Ⅵ)by Fe_(3)O_(4)NP after ultrasonication was analyzed.It was found that the aggregation of Fe_(3)O_(4)NP induced little influences on the adsorption of Cr(Ⅵ).The results will provide significant reference for the application of nanoparticles in environmental engineering.
