摘要
设置专业英语课程的目的在于培养环境工程专业的学生不仅可以熟练查阅英文的专业文献,还可以顺畅地进行专业英语交流。现行的专业英语教学存在一定的问题,导致学生的专业外语能力亟待提升。苏州科技大学环境科学与工程学院以成果导向机制为核心,尝试新的专业英语教学模式,将专业英语融入环境工程专业课程中,通过合理构建课程、完善教学手段和评价方式,激发学生的学习兴趣,并为学生牢固掌握环境工程专业英语知识和技能提供了保障。
The purpose of the specialist English courses is to cultivate students’ability to consult foreign professional references and conduct professional exchange.Therefore,it leads to the urgent need to improve their professional foreign language abilities.The Environmental Engineering Department of Suzhou University of Science and Technology takes the Outcome-Based Education mechanism as the core and tries a new specialist English teaching mode.The content of specialist English is integrated into the learning of professional courses.The students’enthusiasm for learning has been stimulated through reasonable curriculum setting,perfect teaching methods and evaluation methods.All these provide a guarantee for students to firmly grasp the English ability of this major.
