摘要
The China-US relationship is the most important bilateral relationship in the world.Whether the two countries will cooperate,compete or slide into conflict in their dealings is becoming one of the key factors affecting the stability of today’s international system.The US has regarded China as its peer strategic competitor and has formulated and implemented a China policy revolving around strategic competition.On the other hand,China believes that China-US relations should uphold“dialogue over confrontation,cooperation over conflict,opening over exclusion,and integration over decoupling”and that“even in competition,there should be limits based on internationally recognized fairness rules.”1 The strategic competition between China and the US in international organizations reflects their differences in interests,ideas and values and concerns over the future of international rules,international order,international leadership and global governance.China and the US should conduct healthy competition and avoid becoming vicious.They should expand areas of cooperation and prevent confrontation and conflict.
