用于5G智能手机的高隔离度双频8元MIMO天线

High-isolation dual-band eight-element MIMO antenna array for 5G smartphone applications

摘要 提出了一种用于第五代移动通信(5G)的8元高隔离度多输入多输出(MIMO)双频手机天线,覆盖3.5 GHz(3.4~3.6 GHz)和4.9 GHz(4.8~5.0 GHz)两个频段。8元MIMO阵列对称放置在手机两个侧边框内表面上,天线单元由倒F型单极子和缝隙耦合环路分支构成,其尺寸仅为16.3 mm×5.2 mm(0.18λL×0.06λL,λL为3.4 GHz的自由空间波长)。相邻单元间以11.5 mm(0.13λL)间距紧密排列,通过在单元间增加T型缺陷地结构,提高了MIMO阵列隔离度。对该8元MIMO天线阵列进行实物加工及测试,实测结果表明,在两个工作频段内,天线单元反射系数均小于-6 dB,隔离度分别高于20 dB和15 dB,天线效率均大于50%,包络相关系数(ECC)均小于0.006。 An dual-band antenna array was proposed with eight-element high-isolation multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO)for the fifth-generation mobile communication(5G),which covered 3.5 GHz(3.4-3.6 GHz)and 4.9 GHz(4.8-5.0 GHz)bands.The eight-element antenna array was printed symmetrically along the two long frames of the smartphone.Each antenna element was consisted of an inverted F monopole and a gap-coupled loop branch with the whole size of only 16.3 mm×5.2 mm(0.18λL×0.06λL,whereλL was the free space wavelength of 3.4 GHz).The distances between adjacent elements were only 11.5 mm(0.13λL).By etching a T-shaped defect ground structure between adjacent elements,the isolation was greatly improved.A prototype of the proposed eight-element MIMO array was fabricated and measured.The measured results show that the reflection coefficients within the two operation bands are less than-6 dB,and the isolations are higher than 20 dB and 15 dB,respectively.The total efficiencies of all ports are higher than 50%,and the envelope correlation coefficients(ECCs)are less than 0.006.
