摘要
虚谷是清末画僧,与任伯年、吴昌硕并称为“海上三杰”。虚谷生活的晚清时期,国画花鸟画已经达到了很高的发展和成就,但艺术语言过于死板,重墨重笔,以迎合市民审美的需要。虚谷在背景之下,另辟蹊径,绘画直抒胸臆,在继承前人敢于创新笔墨的基础上,自成一派,形成了独特的艺术语言,并对后世画家影响深远。虚谷绘画艺术的色彩脱俗冷淡,注重色调的统一和简洁。他常用干、浓、淡、彩墨等手法,创作出明快清新、恬淡清澈的画面。
Xu Gu was a painting monk in the late Qing Dynasty,and together with Ren Bonian and Wu Changshuo,he was called the"Three Heroes of the Sea".During the late Qing Dynasty when Xu Gu lived,Chinese painting of flowers and birds had reached a high level of development and achievement,but the artistic language was too rigid and heavy on ink and brushwork to meet the aesthetic needs of the public.Under the background,Xu Gu took a different approach,painting directly from the heart,and based on inheriting the predecessors who dared to innovate in brush and ink,he formed a school of his own,formed a unique artistic language,and had a profound influence on later generations of painters.The colors of Xu GU’s painting art are refined and indifferent,focusing on the unity and simplicity of tones.He often uses techniques such as dry,thick,light,and colored ink to create bright,fresh,tranquil and clear images.
