摘要
美国孔子学院自成立以来为中美文化交流作出了重要贡献,然而受多方面因素的影响,孔子学院近些年在美国的发展阻力重重,数量急剧下降。本文将美国孔子学院发展历程划分为初始期、发展期、高峰期、下滑期四个时期,论述美国孔子学院在各个时期的发展特点,从中美关系、文化差异、对孔子学院认知差异、运作模式、教学方式和评价模式等方面对造成现阶段孔子学院发展困境的因素进行分析,提出未来美国孔子学院发展的“转型——优化顶层设计,夯实合作基础”,“提质——提高办学质量,实现内涵发展”和“融入——接轨美国教育体系,满足当地民众需求”三方面对策,以期推动美国孔子学院的发展与建设。
Since the establishment,Confucius Institutes in the United States have made significant contributions to cultural exchanges between China and the United States.However,due to various factors,there have been numerous obstacles to the development of Confucius Institutes in the US,and the number of institutes has declined significantly.This paper divides the development of Confucius Institutes in the United States into four stages:initial period,development period,peak period and decline period,discusses the development characteristics in each period,and analyzes the reasons for the difficulties faced by Confucius Institutes in the current stage from various aspects including Sino-US relations,cultural differences,differences in the cognition of Confucius Institutes,operation mode,teaching method and evaluation mode.The paper proposes three countermeasures for the future development of Confucius Institutes:"transformation,or optimizing top-level design and consolidating the cooperation foundation","quality improvement,or enhancing the teaching quality,realizing the connotation development"and"integration,or connecting the American education system,meeting the needs of local people".These measures are expected to promote new development and construction of Confucius Institutes in the future.
