摘要
拉塞尔·柯克是美国著名政治理论家、历史学家、古典自由教育的倡导者,他的自由教育思想通过对道德想象力、正当理性与秩序关系的诠释,构建出了保守主义视域下的自由教育观。柯克认为自由教育的目的是道德想象力与正当理性的发展,其中以道德想象力的培养为核心,以正当理性的发展为指引;基于自由教育的目的,作为道德想象力的表达的文献学习构成自由教育的核心内容,而在自由教育的实际结果上,自由教育最终使人形成内在的心灵秩序和外在的共同体秩序;在自由教育的维护和实施上,自由艺术学院是自由教育的最佳场所,只有在这样的机构中自由教育才能得到保存和复兴。
Russell Kirk is a famous American political theorist,historian and advocate of classical liberal education.Kirk constructs the liberal education view from the perspective of conservatism through the interpretation of moral imagination,right reason and order.Kirk considers that the purpose of liberal education is the development of moral imagination and right reason,which regards the cultivation of moral imagination as the core and the development of right reason as the guidance.Based on the purpose of liberal education,literature learning as the expression of moral imagination constitutes the main content of liberal education.In the practical result of liberal education,it finally forms the inner order of the soul and the outer order of the commonwealth.Regarding the preservation and implementation of liberal education,the liberal arts college is the best place for liberal education.Only in such an institution can liberal education be preserved and revived.
